The directors of Spencer Partners are qualified lawyers or chartered accountants, each with many years experience of company acquisitions and disposals as senior legal or City advisers or as principals of their own businesses.

Richard Ingram

MA (Cantab)

Richard is a lawyer with over twenty-five years' experience specialising in buying and selling companies and businesses.

As a senior mergers and acquisitions partner at solicitors Hewitsons LLP he has advised a wide range of clients from family companies and owner-managed businesses to quoted public companies and overseas businesses.

He also has many years' experience as a non-executive director of substantial private companies in the manufacturing and retail sectors.

Tim Godwin

MA (Cantab) ACA

Tim is a chartered accountant with over twenty years' experience as chief executive of companies in the technology and media sectors. He has been a founding director and investor in several successful business ventures.

Tim has significant first-hand experience of owner-managed business disposals and company acquisitions.

Steve Watson

BA ACA

Steve is a chartered accountant with many years' experience as an investment banker in the City of London, where he specialised in advising on international cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

He also spent several years as a European investment research analyst, utilising his knowledge of several European languages and developing his understanding of European accounting standards and conventions.
